PAI - Professorial Advancement Initiative
Postdoctoral scholars in the STEM fields are invited to participate in the Big Ten Academic Alliance Professorial Advancement Initiative (PAI) Program,
a multi-campus initiative that provides highly relevant and effective professional development opportunities for individuals pursuing a career in academia.
The PAI participants engage in a mentoring team and have opportunities to network with postdoctoral scholars and faculty across Big Ten Academic Alliance institutions.
Participation in the PAI includes:
- Active engagement with discipline-specific mentors from your home campus and other Big Ten Academic Alliance institutions.

Financial support for travel to regional/national conferences for discipline-specific professional development
- In-person and virtual professional development experiences covering topics such as grant writing, mentor training, and job search and interview preparation
The Big Ten Academic Alliance PAI program invites underrepresented minority
